I started filming myself pitching because nobody was recruiting me, and somewhere in there I figured out I liked making the videos as much as I liked playing. Now I tell stories and create content for brands and athletes, and I still pitch.

How I ended up
doing both.

In 2020 everything shut down and there was nowhere for coaches to actually come see me play. I was undersized and I threw slow, so I wasn't getting much traction anyway. There was a natural downslope rock in my yard, so we put turf over it and my best friend Ben filmed me throwing off it on a Canon T6i. I sent those videos out to coaches pretty much every day.

One school called back, and that was Franklin & Marshall. But somewhere in all that filming and editing and sending, I started caring about the videos as much as I cared about whether anyone wrote back.

So the two things have never really been separate for me. I got into video because of how the baseball was going, and I've been doing both ever since.

Six years later I'm shooting for brands and I'm still pitching every summer. A lot of what makes me decent behind a camera at a game is just knowing what's about to happen before it does, and I only know that from playing.

I had one offer coming out of high school. I played four years of Division III and then a graduate year in the A‑10, and every time I moved up a level I got better.

COVID shut everything down the summer coaches were supposed to be watching. So we put turf over a downslope rock in my yard and my best friend Ben filmed me throwing off it on a Canon T6i, and I sent those videos out every day.

I was never big or strong, and I threw slow, so I had to learn how to actually pitch and be crafty and get outs. That's the part I fell in love with.

One school wrote back, and it was Franklin & Marshall.

I didn't really think about it at the time, but that driveway is where the camera stuff started too.

How it went

2021 · MAMARONECK, NY

One offer

I graduated from Mamaroneck High School throwing about 78 to 80. I grew up playing shortstop and only really became a pitcher later on. My senior year I threw 46.1 innings with a 0.45 ERA and 60 strikeouts, and hitters hit .153 against me, and I still only got one call.

2021–2025 · FRANKLIN & MARSHALL

Four years of Division III

I double majored in business and film production and my velo went up every year, 81 as a freshman, 87 as a sophomore, and up to 90 by my junior year. I sprained my UCL and lost that spring, but I came back that summer with the Sanford Mainers in the NECBL and threw 23.2 innings with a 3.42 ERA. I loved every single second of that place.

2026 · UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND

A‑10 baseball and a master's

F&M doesn't have a graduate school, so if I wanted a fifth year I had to go in the portal. Richmond was a great fit because of the coaching staff, and because I could get a master's there and still keep shooting. I went on a visit and committed. I ended up throwing 25.1 innings across 21 appearances with a 2.84 ERA and 24 strikeouts, which was the best year I've had at the highest level I've played.

SUMMER 2026 · SAVANNAH

The Visitors · Banana Ball

I had already applied for jobs and my mind was pretty much set on being done. Then a Banana Ball recruiter reached out and said he thought I'd be a good fit, and I knew I'd regret it if I didn't go, so I went. It's ten weeks, it's paid, and it's a really close knit thing in Savannah where everyone is just happy to be here.

The draft

Right now I'm finishing up my summer in Savannah and trying to do both at a really high level, pitching and making content. The draft is at the end of October and I'll find out my next steps from there. What I'm hoping for is to get drafted and compete in the BBCL next year.
